PETALING JAYA: The lacklustre performance of global trade, coupled with stricter regulations on carbon emissions, will put pressure on seaport operators and other players in the logistics sector.
According to Kenanga Research, the World Trade Organisation (WTO) projects that global merchandise trade volume to only inch up by 1.7% in 2023 – down from a 2.7% expansion in 2022.
