Malaysian manufacturing suffers sharpest business contraction since January

KUALA LUMPUR: The seasonally adjusted S&P Global Malaysia manufacturing PMI dropped to 46.8 in September from 47.8 in August, indicating the most significant moderation in business conditions since January for manufacturing firms.

The latest reading signalled further challenges for firms in the manufacturing sector, with business conditions moderating to the greatest extent since January.
