Development of AHTV to herald benefits for numerous sectors

Fong says the company is aiming to develop its land to complement the government-backed initiative by DRB-Hicom and Geely to develop the AHTV.

BACK in July, Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz lauded the heads of agreement deal by DRB-Hicom Bhd and Chinese automobile manufacturer Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co Ltd to develop the Automotive High-Tech Valley (AHTV) in Tanjung Malim.

Casting a forward perspective, Tengku Zafrul has been hoping for beneficial spillover effects from the development of the AHTV into small-medium enterprises (SMEs) in the country, while reiterating that the government is always looking at incentivising sectors that would be able to provide high-value jobs to Malaysians as the country continues its effort to become a high-income economy.
