Greatech green goals on track

PETALING JAYA: Greatech Technology Bhd’s solar panel installation project at its Batu Kawan, Penang Plant 1 (BK1) is expected to see a carbon dioxide avoidance of 25,000 tonnes and the green energy generation of approximately 43,000 megawatt hours in 25 years.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said this would be equivalent to 54.6 million trees saved in 10 years.

“Greatech is thrilled with the completion of this installation project in our BK1 plant and is looking forward to the next phase of the project, which is the installation of the solar panels in its remaining plants in Batu Kawan.”
