IN 2017, the UN General Assembly designated June 27 as Micro-, Small-, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) Day to raise awareness on the tremendous contributions of MSMEs to global socio-economic growth.
According to the most recent data in the Malaysia Statistical Business Register (MSBR) issued by the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DoSM), there are 1.15 million SMEs in the country as of 2021 – accounting for 97.2% of all business establishments.
