Hextar Global Bhd’s unit is acquiring PHG Ever Fresh Group Sdn Bhd for a cash consideration of RM84 million to venture into the durian wholesale business.
Haily Group Bhd has secured a RM53.8 million contract to build residential units in Johor Bahru.
ITMax System Bhd has bagged a contract worth RM40 million from Segamat Specialist Hospital Sdn Bhd.
GUH Holdings Bhd said its subsidiary has reached an out-of-court settlement with a unit of JAKS Resources Bhd and a construction firm, over its payment claim for work undertaken as a sub-contractor.
LFE Corp Bhd is taking over the main building works of phase two of a mixed development in Damansara for RM105 million from its 51%-owned unit.
Meanwhile, the US market eked out small gains overnight as markets were closed early for the Independence Day holiday.
Earlier, European markets declined due to profit taking after last Friday’s gains following lower-than-expected inflation.
On the local market, the FBM KLCI rallied 19.21 points or 1.4% to 1395.89 points in a sharp rebound.
"Following yesterday’s rebound, the FBM KLCI could consolidate above its support of 1,372 points," said Apex.
