AWC wins contracts worth RM52mil from Prasarana


KUALA LUMPUR: AWC Bhd’s subsidiary, Trackwork & Supplies Sdn Bhd (TSSB) has secured contracts worth RM52mil Prasarana Malaysia Bhd.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, AWC said TSSB accepted three letters of acceptance (LoA) worth RM44.25mil from Prasarana for the works related to the LRT Ampang and Kelana Jaya Line.

The works shall be carried out and completed within 18 to 24 months from the date to be stipulated in the notice to proceed to be issued by Prasanara.

“The works are expected to contribute positively to the earnings of the AWC group over the duration of the works,” AWC said.

In a separate filing, AWC said TSSB also accepted an LoA from Prasarana worth RM7.74mil for the supply and delivery of 400 units of UIC 60E1 grade R350HT running rails for Ampang Line and 340 units of RE 115 running rails for Kelana Jaya Line.

AWC said the contract shall be carried out and completed within 10 months from the date to be stipulated in the notice to proceed to be issued by Prasarana.
