Sirim appoints Khairol Anuar Mohamad Tawi as new chairman


KUALA LUMPUR: Sirim Bhd has appointed Datuk Khairol Anuar Mohamad Tawi as its new chairman for a period of two years, effective May 20, 2023.

In a statement today, it said the appointment was made to replace Tan Sri Dr Ahmad Tajuddin Ali who has completed his term of service.

Khairol, a technopreneur, started his career at Jabatan Telekom Malaysia in 1983 upon graduation.

In 1994 he founded KAT Technologies Sdn Bhd and became its executive chairman after 14 years of service in various positions with Sapura Group.

Khairol is a certified professional engineer by the Board of Engineers Malaysia and is currently on the Board of Advisors of Digital Perak Corporation Bhd.

He has held several positions as a director on the boards of institutions such as Tabung Amanah Melaka, National Sports Institute, MAIM Holdings Bhd and a Fellow of the Malaysian Institute of

Management.

He is also the founding president of the Bumiputera Retailer’s Organisation. - Bernama
