KUALA LUMPUR: Recent corporate announcements could see increased interest in Hartalega, Seal Incorporated, ECM Libra, Mi Technovation, Axis REIT, Pegasus Heights, Harbour-Link and Icon Offshore, said Apex Research.

Hartalega Holdings Bhd is decommissioning its Bestari Jaya production facility with an expected impairment loss of RM347mil.

Aaron Chen Khai Voon will become the largest shareholder in Seal Incorporated Bhd after subscribing to a 20% stake via a RM16.2 million placement exercise.

ECM Libra Group Bhd’s 30%-owned associate is to exit TYK Capital Sdn Bhd by selling its entire equity interest of 27% for RM120 million cash.

Mi Technovation Bhd’s 1Q23 net profit fell 50.16% to RM6.4mil.

Axis REIT is booking a RM7mil impairment as tenant Yongnam defaults on rental.

Pegasus Heights is venturing into moneylending business and proposes 86% capital reduction.

Harbour-Link unit is buying industrial lands in Telipok, Kota Kinabalu for RM8.5mil.

Icon Offshore secures work order award from Petronas Carigali.

Meanwhile, Apex said the FBM KLCI could remain sideways above the support of 1,431 points following the mixed performance on Wall Street.

The US market was flat overnight after Friday’s rebound rally as investors look forward to upcoming CPI and PPI data this week.

Earlier, European markets were higher as investors waited for the Bank of England’s rate decision on Thursday.
