TAFI receives RM9.66mil construction contract

KUALA LUMPUR: Tafi Industries Bhd's unit has accepted a contact from Alpha Estate Sdn Bhd for the construction of a single-storey factory, two storeys of office buildings and one electrical substation in Kuala Langat, Selangor.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group said the contract, which was valued at RM9.66mil, was accepted by its subsidiary, TAFI Home & Office Sdn Bhd.

The contract period is eight months from April 19, 2023, to Dec 18, 2023.

"TAFI Group is currently working towards tendering and securing more construction contracts from both the private sector and also government sector to further grow our revenue stream from construction contracts by leveraging on its wholly owned units, namely TAFI Home & Office Sdn Bhd and T.A. Furniture & Projects Sdn Bhd’s (formerly known as T.A. Furniture Industries Sdn Bhd) G7 licence issued by the Construction Industry Development Board, which allows them to tender for construction projects of unlimited value," said TAFI group CEO Datuk Sri Bryan Wong in a statement.

At the lunch break, TAFI was trading 0.5 sen or 0.81% lower at 61 sen a share on the back of 86,400 shares exchanging hands.
