Puncak Niaga gets RM83mil Johor pipe job


PETALING JAYA: Puncak Niaga Holdings Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary Puncak Niaga Construction Sdn Bhd has been appointed the principal sub-contractor for Package 2 of the Johor pipe replacement programme 2020 – Johor Baru, Kulai, Pontian, Kota Tinggi and Mersing.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group said the contract, valued at RM82.86mil, was secured from the main contractor of the project, Jalur Cahaya Sdn Bhd.

Under the terms of the contract, Puncak Niaga Construction will undertake the replacement of 84,535 m of existing main pipes and existing communication pipes for 40,672 connections inside the 41 District Metered Area.

The project commenced with retrospective effect from Aug 1, 2022 and will be completed on Jan 17, 2024.
