SCIB bags RM16.8mil school building project in Sarawak

KUALA LUMPUR: Sarawak Consolidated Industries Bhd's wholly-owned subsidiary SCIB Industrialised Building System Sdn Bhd has secured an engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) subcontract valued at RM16.8mil from Majestika Sdn Bhd.

In a statement, the group said it received the award from the main contractor, Majestika, with a duration of 14 months for the construction of a school, Sekolah Kebangsaan Tambay, in Kota Samarahan, Sarawak.

"We are actively pursuing projects for dilapidated schools in Sarawak and Sabah, which have been allocated RM920mil.

"This is on top of bidding for projects in both states, which have been allocated RM5.6bill and RM6.5bil respectively under the re-tabled Budget 2023,” said group managing director Rosland Othman.

He said the group has an order book of RM388mil as of March 2023.
