Wall Street zeroes in on Malaysia market

Gambardella says AGP is scouting around for more Malaysian companies with the potential to list on US exchanges.

KUALA LUMPUR: East Asia, in particular Malaysia, stands to gain from endless investment possibilities, especially in the real estate and technology sectors, says chief operating officer and chief risk officer of US-based investment banking firm Alliance Global Partners (AGP), Raffaele Gambardella.

While the outlook on the global economy is not looking too promising at present, Gambardella believes in any economic condition, there will always be sectors or companies that are outperforming the general trend, and his firm’s strategy is to discover such opportunities and help companies therein to succeed.
