Trading ideas: PETRONAS Dagangan, Kuala Lumpur Kepong, Batu Kawan, Media Prime, Dagang Nexchange and Gamuda


KUALA LUMPUR: There could be investor interest in the folowing stocks including PETRONAS Dagangan, Kuala Lumpur Kepong, Batu Kawan, Media Prime, Dagang Nexchange and Gamuda, said Apex Research.

Petronas Dagangan Bhd (PetDag)’s net profit for 4QFY2002 grew 5.3% YoY to RM144.46 million.

IGB Bhd’s net profit came in lower at RM18.77 million.

Kuala Lumpur Kepong Bhd (KLK)'s net profit fell 26% YoY to RM443 million for 1QFY2023.

Batu Kawan Bhd posted a 28.85% YoY decline in 1QFY23 net profit to RM235.3 million.

Media Prima Bhd's net profit fell 21% YoY to RM22.85 million.

Dagang NeXchange Bhd (DNeX) reached an out-of-court settlement with shareholders of its subsidiary.

Gamuda Bhd his buying an Australian transport projects business at an enterprise value of RM636 million.

Meanwhile, Apex said the FBM KLCI could consolidate and hover above the support of 1,464 points following the mixed performance on Wall Street.

The US market was mixed after the release of the Federal Reserve’s meeting minutes showing that the central bank will continue to combat inflation with rate hikes.

Earlier, European stocks declined amid uncertainties over inflation and interest rates ahead of the Fed’s release.
