KUALA LUMPUR: Stocks in focus on Tuesday include YTL Power, PGF capital, Ajiya, Sunway REIT, Chin Teck Plantations, Uzma and TRC Synergy, said Apex Research.

YTL Power International Bhd's wholly-owned subsidiary in Singapore is collaborating with Tenaga Nasional Bhd's (TNB) unit to supply 100 megawatts (MW) of electricity from Malaysia to Singapore.

PGF Capital Bhd’s net profit jumped 52 times YoY to RM2.03 million for its 3QFY23.

Ajiya Bhd’s net profit jumped 169.3% YoY to RM9.48 million for its 4QFY22.

Sunway Real Estate Investment Trust’s net property income for 4QFY22 rose 18.8% to RM146.19 million.

Chin Teck Plantations Bhd’s net profit fell 8% YoY to RM25.3m for 1QFY2023.

Uzma Bhd has received another two-year contract extension from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd worth RM230 million for the provision of coiled tubing and services.

TRC Synergy as the Singapore International Arbitration Centre has ordered the Brunei Economic Development Board (BEDB) to pay the group's unit RM60.18 million over a dispute.

Meanwhile, Apex said the FBM KLCI could remain sideways below the resistance of 1,500 points following the decline on Wall Street.

The US market declined overnight to snap a 6-day winning streak as investors took profit ahead of the Federal Reserve's two-day meeting later today.

Similarly, European stocks dropped as investors focused on the Fed's meeting to decide on interest rate hike.
