Vestland unit bags RM63mil construction contract


KUALA LUMPUR: Vestland Bhd (Vestland) via its wholly-owned unit, Vestland Resources Sdn Bhd (VRSB), has received a letter of award from Rimbun Merdu Sdn Bhd worth RM63.15 million.

The award would entail VRSB undertaking the main building and associated works for one block of 33-storey serviced apartments and related facilities in Seksyen 41, Jalan Dewan Sultan Sulaiman 1, Kuala Lumpur.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, the company said that the works would include the supply of labour/workers, materials, tools, equipment and machinery for the construction, completion and maintenance of the main building and associated works.

"The scope of works comprises of one block of serviced apartment complete with piling works, architectural works, structural works, mechanical and electrical services and external works within and outside the boundaries of the lot,” it said.

Vestland said completion of the construction works would be 34 months from today.

"The contract is expected to contribute positively towards the earnings and net assets of the group for the duration of the contract,” it added. - Bernama
