KPJ sees surge in 3Q earnings to RM54mil


KPJ says revenue for the third quater rose 16% year-on-year to RM809.16mil helped by the rise in patient visits and bed occupancy rate.

KUALA LUMPUR: KPJ Healthcare Bhd’s net profit for the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2022 surged to RM54.28mil from the RM12.64mil it made during the same quarter last year.

Revenue for the period rose 16% year-on-year to RM809.16mil helped by the rise in patient visits and bed occupancy rate to 910,995 patients and 64% respectively, it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday.

The company added that the opening of the Damansara Specialist Hospital 2 on Sept 1, had contributed to the group’s quarterly performance.
