Jiankun, NTL to jointly develop RM215mil project

KUALA LUMPUR: Jiankun International Bhd will jointly develop with NTL International Holdings (M) Sdn Bhd a property project with a gross development value of RM215.1mil in Taman Anggerik, Bandar Teknologi Kajang in Semenyih, Selangor.

Jiankun said its wholly-owned subsidiary Nagamas Bizworks Sdn Bhd had entered into an agreement, which is in line with the initiatives to collaborate with landowners to expand the group’s property business.

Under the terms of the agreement, Jiankun will be responsible for the cost and expenses of the development while NTL will contribute the land for development.

“This joint development provides a win-win situation for both NTL and Jiankun,” said Jiankun executive director and chief executive officer Edwin Silvester Das in a statement.

“It is also a testimony to the group’s capability and track record in the construction and property development industry.”

The project comprises one block of 37-storey serviced apartments, commercials units, affordable homes, facilities and a seven-storey carpark.

“We believe the proposal of the serviced apartment with affordable housing units will provide the right mix to meet the rising demand for affordable housing.

“As the land is about 7.2km from the MRT Kajang Station, we believe this will also be attractive for the middle-income households in and around Kajang, Cyberjaya and Putrajaya area,” said Das.
