Shamsul Anuar redesignated independent, non-executive chairman at SCIB


KUALA LUMPUR: Shamsul Anuar Ahamad Ibrahim has been redesignated the independent non-executive chairman of Sarawak Consolidated Industries Bhd (SCIB) with immediate effect.

According to the engineering and construction group, Shamsul was first appointed to the board of the company on Sept 1, 2015. He is a member of SCIB’s audit committee and remuneration and nomination committee as well as chairman of the risk management committee.

Shamsul is currently the group corporate affairs general manager of Permodalan ASSAR Sdn Bhd, the holding company of Amanah Saham Sarawak Bhd.

He also sits on the board of Transnational Insurance Brokers Sdn Bhd.

"We welcome Encik Shamsul Anuar as our new Chairman and look forward to working with him to grow SCIB.

"His experience in state-owned enterprises will be invaluable to us," said SCIB group managing director and CEO Rosland Othman.
