Trading ideas: Digi, Hextar, GIIB, Yinson, Dayang, T7, Pestech


KUALA LUMPUR: Digi.Com Bhd (Digi), Hextar Industries Bhd, GIIB Holdings Bhd, Yinson Holdings Bhd, Dayang Enterprise Holdings Bhd, T7 Global Bhd and Pestech International Bhd are among the stocks to watch on Friday, according to Apex Securities.

Digi’s net profit for 3Q22 dropped 15.45% YoY to RM264.48mil while Hextar posted a net profit of RM3.09mil for 4QFY22.

Independent investigative accountant Ferrier Hodgson MH Sdn Bhd (FHMH) has found that there were no fraudulent transactions or misconduct by GIIB as alleged by former executive director Wong Weng Yew.

Yinson has secured a one-month extension of its floating storage and offloading (FPSO) charter contract called FPSO Adoon for RM16.04mil.

Dayang has been awarded a contract amendment and extension to provide offshore maintenance, construction and modification services from Petronas Carigali.

T7’s unit has secured a work order from Hibiscus Oil & Gas Malaysia Ltd to undertake well workover, and plug and abandonment services.

Pestech’s unit is disposing of a transmission system project in Cambodia for US$118mil.

ILB Group Bhd is aborting its planned purchase of 1,124 sq metres of freehold commercial land with shoplots in Petaling Jaya for RM15.9mil.

Meanwhile, the US market declined for a second day as bond yields continue to rise with the 10-year Treasury hitting its highest since 2008.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped 90.22 points, or 0.30%, to 30,333.59. The S&P 500 fell 0.80% to 3,665.78. The Nasdaq Composite shed 0.61% to close at 10,614.84.

Earlier, European stocks rose after British Prime Minister Liz Truss resigned.

“Following yesterday's rally, the FBM KLCI could see profit taking and consolidate below the resistance of 1,450 points,” Apex said.
