ECRL project completes 12 tunnel breakthrough to date - MRL

KUALA LUMPUR: The East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) project’s 2.8-km long Kuantan Tunnel has achieved a tunnelling breakthrough two months ahead of schedule today, becoming the 12th ECRL tunnel to complete the excavation process to-date, said Malaysia Rail Link Sdn Bhd (MRL).

Its chief executive officer, Datuk Seri Darwis Abdul Razak, said the ECRL project achieved another major milestone with the breakthrough at Kuantan Tunnel, which is the longest of 12 ECRL tunnels to have made breakthrough.
