Poh Kong posts RM29.8mil earnings in 4Q


PETALING JAYA: Poh Kong Holdings Bhd will be monitoring the impact of the current uncertainties to its operations and evaluate its business performance on a continuous basis.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, the jeweller said it reported a net profit of RM29.84mil in its fourth quarter ended July 31, 2022 (4Q22), compared with a net loss of RM13.26mil in the previous corresponding period.

It reported basic earnings per share of 7.27 sen in 4Q22, compared with a loss per share of 3.23 in the previous corresponding period.

For the financial year ended July 31, 2022, Poh Kong’s net profit rose to RM92.20mil compared with RM36.76mil a year earlier, while revenue grew to RM1.36bil compared with RM903.10mil previously.
