Third week of net foreign outflows


PETALING JAYA: Foreign investors remained net sellers of RM562.6mil worth of local securities of last week, marking the third consecutive week of net foreign fund outflows from Bursa Malaysia.

According to a MIDF Research report yesterday the selling last week was well above the RM186.2mil of net outflows in the previous week.

Foreign funds had been net buyers for 24 out of the 38 weeks of 2022, with a total net inflow of RM7.36bil, the research houses estimated.

Local institutions have been net sellers for 29 out of 38 weeks, with a total net outflow of RM9.56bil. Local funds were net long by RM351.23mil last week.
