Destini unit secures RM163.61mil train MRO contract


KUALA LUMPUR: Destini Bhd's 70% indirect subsidiary M Rail Technics Sdn Bhd has accepted a maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO)contract worth about RM163.61mil from the Ministry of Transport.

The contract is for level 4 MRO works on 10 units of electric train sets (ETS) operated by Keretapi Tanah Melayu Bhd (KTMB) for a period of three years.

"During the maintenance period, the ETS will be required to undergo Level 4 MRO to ensure its safety and reliability, which includes scheduled maintenance, repairs and spare parts replacement in accordance with the maintenance programme," said Destini in a statement.

The contract is in addition to the contract M Rail accepted in May 2022 for Level 4 MRO on 35 electric train sets operated by KTMB valued at RM531.39mil.
