Deloitte resigns as Lion auditor

PETALING JAYA: Deloitte PLT has voluntarily resigned as the external auditors for Lion Posim Bhd and Lion Industries Corp Bhd.

Both companies told Bursa Malaysia yesterday that the resignation of Deloitte was on a voluntary basis and will be effective 21 days from the date of the notice of resignation, or the date of the company’s appointment of another auditor, whichever was earlier.

They said that Deloitte was their auditor for more than 25 years, adding that they were not aware of any matters that needed shareholders’ attention.
