Inta Bina managing director Paul Lim Ooi Joo

KUALA LUMPUR: Inta Bina Group Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Inta Bina Sdn Bhd has secured a RM137.8mil construction contract from SDB Properties Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Selangor Dredging Bhd.

The G7 building contractor said the contract entails the main building works for 26 units of 3-storey superlink houses and 6 blocks of 3 and 4-storey condo villa, which will house a total of 196 villa units, located at Gombak, Selangor.

The works will take 32 months to complete from the commencement date of Sept 8.

Managing director Paul Lim Ooi Joo, in a statement, said: “This contract marks our second largest project secured for the year, which brings our year-to-date contract wins to RM298mil.”

“We will continue to keep ourselves busy, not only on the execution of the projects but also on the tender of other new projects.

“At this point in time, the property sector looks more stabilised with more construction activities expected to come in. Coupled with the few projects from the joint-venture partnership with Lagenda Properties Berhad that are under execution, we expect a more promising outlook for the rest of the year,” he added.

This new contract bolstered the group’s total unbilled order book to about RM1.1bil.
