JOHOR BARU: Johor Land Bhd (JLand) will spearhead the development of Sedenak Technology Valley with an initial 130ha pilot phase known as Discovery City in Kulai in the third quarter of next year.

Executive director Mohd Yusof Ahmad said the 2,916ha Sedenak Technology Valley is an integrated development driven by digital technologies and underpinned by environmental, social and governance principles.

JLand, the real estate arm of Johor Corp (JCorp), was outlining its expansion plans at its rebranding event.

JCorp president and chief executive officer Datuk Syed Mohamed Syed Ibrahim, who is also JLand chairman, said JLand has “to raise the bar” by building innovative and sustainable projects. “We must be innovative; it’s not an option. It is imperative that we must quickly and earnestly embrace and deploy proptech in our operations,” he said.

JLand projects include the 11.2ha Tebing@Bandar Tiram, which will replicate the success of Tebing at Bandar Dato’ Onn. — Bernama
