Love-hate relationship of ‘Big Oil’

EXACTLY one year ago, Brent crude oil price was hovering at US$65 (RM290.81) per barrel. Through the course of the year, Brent crude oil price hit as high as US$139 (RM619.87) per barrel. As at Aug 18, it was trading at US$95 (RM425.03) per barrel, still a good 34% up for the year.

This has led to many oil corporations around the world reporting record shattering profits.
