Kenanga looks towards a super app to stay ahead

Chay: Kenanga believes in the concept of cross-selling and cross-marketing and hopes to be a big player in the digital fintech space.

FOR years, Kenanga Investment Bank Bhd grew its business the old-fashion way. Mergers and acquisitions dotted its corporate activity that focused on growing its scale and financial heft the traditional way it has been done in Malaysia.

In 2016, it took a bold move when it entered into a joint venture with Rakuten Securities that aimed at growing its digital trading business which kicked off with a trading platform a year later.
