Dialog 4Q net profit drops 14% to RM118mil


KUALA LUMPUR: Higher project costs and losses in some of the projects dragged Dialog Group Bhd’s net profit lower to RM118.25mil in the fourth quarter ended June 30 (4Q), against RM138.54mil a year earlier.

Revenue, however, jumped 29.4% to RM675.65mil from RM522.14mil last year contributed by both Malaysian and International operations which saw increased business activities.

Its earnings per share in 4Q for the quarter fell to 2.10 sen from 2.46 sen a year prior.

For the full financial year ended June 30, Dialog posted 6.5% lower earnings of RM508mil against RM543.14mil while revenue expanded 44% to RM2.3bil from RM1.6bil last year.

Its board of directors has recommended a final cash dividend of 2.10 sen per share in respect of the current financial year for approval of the shareholders at the forthcoming annual general meeting.

“Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the group is confident that its performance will remain profitable for the financial year ending June 30, 2023,” Dialog said.
