Boustead Plantations appoints Mohd Azahar Ibrahim as director


KUALA LUMPUR: Boustead Plantations Bhd has appointed Mohd Azahar Ibrahim as independent non-executive director effective Aug 5.

Mohd Azahar, 50, has vast experience in land administration, having served in several land offices in Johor from 1997 to 2011.

He held various positions in the Johor state government from 2012 to 2018.

Mohd Azahar holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Portsmouth, United Kingdom.

“His (Mohd Azahar) expertise, guidance and counsel will be beneficial in driving the group forward as we embark on a journey to become a sustainable technology-based plantation company,” chief executive officer Zainal Abidin said in a statement.
