MPOA names Joseph Tek as new CEO


In a statement yesterday, MPOA said Tek had vast experience in the palm oil industry, having been involved with plantation operations, research and sustainability matters within the industry.

PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Palm Oil Association (MPOA) has named Joseph Tek Choon Yee as its CEO, effective Aug 15, replacing Datuk Mohamad Nageed Wahab.

In a statement yesterday, MPOA said Tek had vast experience in the palm oil industry, having been involved with plantation operations, research and sustainability matters within the industry.

He was the head of research and development in MPOA from 2001 to 2004 before joining IJM Plantation Bhd.

In 2010, Tek was appointed as IJM Plantation CEO and managing director and held the position till 2021.
