PETALING JAYA: Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz will engage in an economic dialogue with local Chinese industrial leaders at The Federation of Hokkien Associations’ 65th anniversary celebration on July 26.

The dialogue aims to provide a platform for the government and industrial leaders to talk about the country’s latest fiscal position as well as the measures to take in order to help businesses and the public.

This event will see LBS Bina Group Bhd chairman Tan Sri Lim Hock San, who is also the president of The Federation of Hokkien Associations of Malaysia, addressing challenges faced by business communities.

“This event shows the government’s commitment in working with private sectors and business communities to address the challenges faced by them and the country.

“This is also an opportunity for us to share our concerns with the government with regards to issues such as rising interest rates, inflation, labour shortage and financing difficulties,” the organising chairman of the federation’s sapphire jubilee celebration, Datuk Alvin Tee, said in a statement.

He said the keynote address at the event will be delivered by the Finance Minister, with Lim then leading the dialogue session.

This event will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club.

It is also supported by the Federation of Malaysia Lim Associations, Malaysia-Guangdong Chamber of Investment Promotion and Malaysia Entrepreneurs’ Development Association.
