MN Holdings secures RM12.2mil EPCC contract for Pekan plant


KUALA LUMPUR: MN Holdings Bhd has bagged an engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) contract for high voltage systems and related works for a large scale solar photovoltaic plant in Pekan, Pahang.

In a statement, the underground utilities and substation engineering specialist said its subsidiary MN Power Transmission Sdn Bhd received the contract for the 50MWAC LSSPV plant at Tanjung Batu from ERS Energy Sdn Bhd valued at RM12.2mil.

It said MN Power will be responsible for the EPCC of a solar power plant

interconnection facility (SPPIF) for a 33kV medium voltage system and 132kV high voltage system, and solar power plant works (SPPW) for a 132kV high voltage system.

Works for the contract is for a period of 13 months from July 15, 2022, to Aug 14, 2023.

“Despite challenges from supply chain disruptions to rising costs, this contract affirms the outlook on the robust level of activities in the solar PV industry.

“We will continue to leverage on our deep experience in the underground utilities and substation engineering segment to secure more projects moving forward,” said executive director Dang Siong Diang.

He added that with the latest contract, the group's order book stands at RM231.1mil.
