PETALING JAYA: VS Industry Bhd says an independent third-party review by PwC Consulting Associates (M) Sdn Bhd found no systemic forced labour practices in the firm.

Although PwC Consulting has found gaps in the integrated electronics manufacturing services provider’s recruitment fees, overtime, accommodation and effective communication, the issues have been resolved with prompt remedial actions, the integrated electronics manufacturing services provider said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

“The group has fully reimbursed the recruitment fees paid by workers who joined prior to 2017,” said managing director Datuk S.Y. Gan in a report yesterday.

The findings could also serve as a re-rating catalyst on the stock, according to a report.
