InNature joins Bursa's FTSE4Good and FTSE4Good Syariah indexes

KUALA LUMPUR: Cosmetics and personal care product retailer Innature Bhd has been included as a constituent of the FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia (F4BM) and FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia Syariah (F4BMS) indexes.

The F4BM Index measures the performance of public listed companies (PLCs) that demonstrate strong environment, social and governance (ESG) practices against international benchmarks, whereas the F4BMS Index tracks F4BM constituents that are Syariah-compliant in accordance with the Syariah Advisory Council screening methodology.

Both indexes are reviewed semi-annually in June and December.

"Over the past four decades, we have actively pursued various campaigns to engender environmental and social change, ranging from environmental conservation and climate change, to gender equality with emphasis on women and youth empowerment, and social justice for all," said group managing director Datuk Mina Cheah-Foong in a statement.

"InNature believes that as corporate citizens, we are in the position to make a difference," she added, while expressing her hope that other PLCs will participate in the index.
