FMM asks govt to reconsider its appeal


President Tan Sri Soh Thian Lai said the request took into consideration the six-month lag in fuel-price impact on the electricity tariff, in particular coal and natural gas, which have not moderated to pre-Covid-19 levels due to major disruptions to the regional and global fuel markets.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers or FMM hopes the government will reconsider its appeal for a moratorium on the imbalance cost pass through surcharge for the second half of 2022 until the first half of next year.
