Gas Malaysia likely to post robust earnings

Its revenue also rose 54.7% to RM1.78bil in line with higher average natural gas selling prices.

PETALING JAYA: Gas Malaysia Bhd will continue to enjoy strong earnings in its upcoming quarters, given the high gas prices.

In the first quarter ended March 31, 2022 (1Q22), Gas Malaysia’s net profit jumped 64.1% year-on-year to RM91.32mil, driven by a higher gross profit, lower administrative expenses and higher contribution from the group’s joint-venture companies.
