Maybank, RHB to raise base rates and BLR


Maybank noted that the last revision in the group’s BR was on July 9, 2020 when it was reduced from 2% to 1.75% following a reduction in the OPR by the same quantum. Its BLR then was also lowered from 5.65% to 5.40%.

PETALING JAYA: In line with the hike in overnight policy rate (OPR), Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) and RHB Banking Group have announced a raise in their base rates (BR) and base lending/financing rates (BLR/BFR) by 25 basis points (bps).

The increase by Maybank will take effect on May 13, while that of RHB will be effective from May 18.
