Press Metal to raise RM1bil via private placement

PETALING JAYA: Press Metal Aluminium Holdings Bhd has proposed a private placement exercise to raise up to RM1bil to finance its working capital, capital expenditure (capex) and repayment of borrowings.

The company said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the proposed exercise would entail an issuance of up to 163.4 million new Press Metal shares, representing approximately 2% of the total number of the company’s issued shares as at March 15, 2022, being the latest practicable date (LPD) prior to this announcement, at an issue price to be determined and announced later.
