Sabah to hold 30% stake in RM400mil coconut plantation project


Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Haji Noor planting a coconut tree to mark the launch of the coconut plantation project at Sabah's northeastern Paitan in Beluran.

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah will hold a 30% stake in the RM400mil high-yield coconut plantation and coconut-based manufacturing facility project developed by Linaco Resources Sdn Bhd in Paitan here, Chief Minister Datuk Hajiji Noor said.

He said the state government is providing 2,000 hectares for the high-impact project which is expected to contribute RM1.2bil annually to Sabah’s economy.
