KUALA LUMPUR: CIMB Investment Bank Bhd, CIMB Islamic Bank Bhd and CIMB Thai Bank PCL have won 11 awards at the Alpha South-East Asia’s 15th Annual Best Deal and Solution Awards 2021.
In a statement, the bank said the awards were a testament of the strength of CIMB’s established investment banking franchise across Asean for top deals across the equity and debt space and its market leadership in the sukuk markets.
According to Bloomberg and Dealogic, for more than a decade, CIMB has been the largest global sukuk arranger to date among Asean banks and in Malaysia.
CIMB was also recognised for its commitment to environmental, social and corporate governance, clinching the Best Asean Green Sustainable and Responsible Investment (SRI) sukuk and best SRI sukuk awards for SME Bank’s maiden issuance of RM500mil sustainability Islamic medium-term note, where CIMB acted as the lead manager. — Bernama
