KYM returns to profitability in Q3 on higher sales volume


In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, KYM said its manufacturing segment posted a pre-tax profit of RM1.54mil during the quarter under review, as compared to a pre-tax profit of RM124,000 a year earlier.

PETALING JAYA: KYM Holdings Bhd staged a turnaround in the third quarter ended Oct 31 with a net profit of RM1.62mil, driven by higher sales volume for all products and upward price adjustment.

In comparison, the industrial paper packaging supplier recorded a net loss of RM326,000 in the previous corresponding quarter.
