EPF sells shares in VS Industry


The recent disposal of shares has resulted in the provident fund’s stake in the company falling to below 5% from 5.16% previously. This leaves EPF with 175.47 million shares in VS Industry, based on back-of-the-envelope calculations.

PETALING JAYA: The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has ceased to be a substantial shareholder of VS Industry Bhd after it sold 21.68 million shares on Dec 2, according to a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

The recent disposal of shares has resulted in the provident fund’s stake in the company falling to below 5% from 5.16% previously. This leaves EPF with 175.47 million shares in VS Industry, based on back-of-the-envelope calculations.

On Dec 6, the group announced that it has proactively discussed with migrant worker rights specialist Andy Hall on migrant workers’ welfare in Malaysia.
