KUALA LUMPUR: Migrant worker rights specialist Andy Hall has urged suppliers of multinational corporation (MNC) brands in Malaysia to conduct due diligence on migrant workers and remediate social non-compliance issues.
Hall said the areas include the legality of the use of outsourced migrant workers through third-party agents, the risks inherent in the government’s recalibration scheme as well as working hours, living wage and social dialogue issues.
