NEW ZEALAND: The bond market’s age-old measure of growth is flashing an ominous warning as the world’s central banks move closer to boosting interest rates from near record lows.
Traders are wagering on rate hikes of as much as 171 basis points over the next year in countries including the United Kingdom, New Zealand and South Korea amid soaring costs of living and commodity prices.
