KUALA LUMPUR: Universal McCann, the media agency under the IPG Mediabrands network, has taken home a Gold Media Agency of the Year title at the recent twelfth annual edition of the Agency of the Year Awards.

The Agency of the Year Awards, organised by Advertising + Marketing Magazine, is designed to measure, reward and recognise Malaysia’s top-performing marketing and advertising agencies.

All entries were evaluated and judged by a panel of experienced marketers and industry experts.

Commenting on this accolade, Audrey Chong, chief executive officer of Universal McCann and Ensemble Worldwide in a statement said: “One of our biggest priorities for the year was to invest in people with skills of the future to accelerate growth across our clients’ businesses.

“At the same time, we looked at budding pockets of growth and innovation that could help drive our new path forward, adding investments in data, analytics, e-commerce, content and digital strategy. These became our differentiating factor in a world filled with disruption and clutter, helping us future-proof our business and that of our clients who put their faith in us.

“We couldn’t have done this without the strength and resilience shown by our people, this award is for them.”
