Bertam accepts RM24.98mil subcontract to build MACC Sabah complex

KUALA LUMPUR: Bertam Alliance Bhd on Friday has accepted a RM24.98mil subcontract from BBSB Holdings Sdn Bhd to build an office complex for the Malaysia Anti-Corruption Agency (MACC), Sabah.

The letter of award was dated July 5, but Bertam had delayed accepting the award due to the lockdown in Sabah.

Originally, work on the project was supposed to start on July 14, the company told Bursa Malaysia today. BBSB has today granted an exemption to Bertam to commence work on Nov 1.

The project, Bertam said, provided an avenue for the PN17 company to increase its order book and potentially improve its income stream, as well as profitability.

Earlier this month, Bertam announced it was granted a six-month extension to April 3, 2022 by Bursa Securities to submit its financial regularisation plan.
