Daimler says supply chain relatively stable - except for chips

Ola Kallenius, chief executive officer of Daimler AG, unveils the Mercedes-Benz AG EQE electric vehicle (EV) during an event ahead of the IAA Munich Motor Show in Munich, Germany, on Sunday, Sept. 5, 2021. The IAA, taking place in Munich for the first time, is the first in-person major European car show since the Coronavirus pandemic started.

MUNICH: Daimler said on Monday that its supply chain was relatively stable, barring issues with deliveries of semiconductor chips that have disrupted production at a number of carmakers.

"We don't see too much instability," Joerg Burzer, head of supply chain at Daimler's carmaking unit Mercedes-Benz, said at the IAA Mobility trade fair in Munich.
