Maybank upsizes sukuk programme


In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, the banking group added that it had also completed the issuance of the RM3bil subordinated sukuk murabahah under the upsized sukuk programme with an initial profit rate of 3.41% per annum.

KUALA LUMPUR: Malayan Banking Bhd has upsized its sukuk programme from up to RM10bil in nominal value to up to RM30bil.

The sukuk programme has been approved by Bank Negara and Maybank has also obtained confirmation from RAM Rating Services Bhd that the exercise would not affect the ratings of the senior sukuk murabahah, the subordinated sukuk murabahah and the AT1 sukuk mudharabah issued under the sukuk programme.
